The 2015 season is now underway and Brands Hatch hosted rounds 2 and 3 of the UK Legends Cars Championship. With a strong showing at Oulton Park for round 1, Nathan Anthony and the F104757_origirst4Vans.com team were confident of some solid results.

Round 2:

Race 1 – With the track drying up after a torrential downpour, Nathan and the team discussed a variety of set up options. The team opted for a dry setup given the track temperature and the length of the race. With a mid pack start, Nathan got the First4Vans Se-Van up into the top 10, but the track was still very slick and a small spin sent the Se-Van down the order. Now at the back of the pack, Nathan got his head down and caught the pack up and finished 19th in a 28 car field.

Race 2 – The track had dried and as Nathan was very happy with the Se-Van’s handling towards the end of race 1, Nathan lined up again in the middle of the pack and had a top 10 finish in his mind. As the race got under way, the Se-Van was fighting hard and making up positions and was soon into the top 10. With 3 laps to go the First 4 Vans, Se-Van was sitting in 4th and was holding off challenges from a number of cars behind. As the field started the last lap, Nathan moved into 3rd place and held off former champion, John Mickel to take 3rd. This being Nathans best ever result in a Legends race.

Race 3 – After a fantastic race 2, Nathan lined up near the back of the grid and it was not long until the Se-Van was back in the top 10 and looking to take another solid finish. Nathan looked very happy with the van, and was sitting in 7th with 2 laps to go. At the end of lap 10, a move for position by a competitor saw the Se-Van get hit and pushed off the track. Through no fault of his own, Nathan soon got back on the track and brought the van home in 17th place.

Although the car picked up a little damage in race 3, both Nathan and the team were happy with the pace of the Se-Van, and were delighted to get a podium finish in race 2.
